Achieve smoother skin tone, a healthier complexion and less visible sun damage
During your IPL treatment, light penetrates the top layers of skin to destroy abnormal vessels and pigmentation, queuing the body to begin the natural healing process. After each treatment, the skin will fell smoother and more evenly toned, with little to no down time.
Who is a candidate for an IPL Photofacial treatment?
Individuals who desire improvement in fine line, facial spider veins, blemishes and brown spots on the face, neck, chest and hands will benefit from IPL. Sun damaged skin, aging skin, oily skin with enlarged pores and acne scarring are also good candidates.
IPL Procedures and Results:
During IPL treatment, your skin is exposed to an intense light. The length of treatment depends on the size of the area to be treated, but typically takes 15-30 minutes. Most people do not experience discomfort. A topical anesthetic is available if desired, but most do not need it.
Although you will see some results after your first treatment, we recommend doing 3-5 treatment sessions to see optimal results.
What areas can be treated with IPL Photofacial?
The face, neck, chest, arms, legs, back, and hands are the most commonly treated areas.
Is there downtime with a IPL Photofacial treatment?
Most clients have little to no side effects. Unlike more aggressive laser treatments IPL treatments attack the deeper layer of your skin (dermis) under the epidermis. After your treatment, some may find the skin to be light pink or flushed which is normal and generally fades within hours, this is a positive response. The brown pigmented spots may also darken temporarily, but will lighten over the course of a few days. Studies show wrinkles and blemishes improve significantly in over 80% of clients after 5 treatments.
